Adventures of the Crest.
"AWAKING ON MOUNT BRUNSWICK ABOVE A SEA OF CLOUD, MOUNT HARVEY AND LIONS POKED OUT TO CATCH THE MORNING SUN."
After finishing a morning commercial shoot in Vancouver, I headed straight for Cypress Mountain to begin my 4-day, 3-night solo adventure along the Howe Sound Crest Trail. With the shoot wrapped, the real adventure began heading off into the stunning North Shore Mountains of Vancouver seeking out solitude and the opportunity to capture some new fine art landscapes for my limited edition home décor collection.
An abundance of leftover snow from the past winter made sections challenging and I was thankful for bringing my crampons on the journey. Traversing the North Shore Mountains can be challenging even in the best of weather and equipment preparation and route finding was key to a successful adventure. Several parts of the journey were spent travelling in thick coastal fog.
As I travelled high in the mountains, I had the unique opportunity to ascend through the clouds. Awaking on Mount Brunswick above a sea of cloud, Mount Harvey and The Lions poked out to catch the morning sun. The tops of the peaks light up while the rest of the mountains were shrouded by the thick clouds below. 
It’s not a sight many have been blessed to see, and I’m excited to be able to share it with you as part of my fine art photography home decor collection.
