Beauty of the Alpine.
"Cheers to those friends up for last minute adventures out under the alpine sky."
With a last minute text and a great excuse to get out of the office, it's always fun to head out with a fellow photographer with similar objectives in mind. Both looking to capture some current hiking images we carried on towards Fissile and found a suitable spot to set up camp and capture the remainder of the day.
As the late afternoon light gave way to sunset, we were rewarded with great views of my August objective of Castle Towers painted in magenta alpenglow with a flowing creek in the foreground.
Long summer days mean late nights waiting for the mysteries of the night sky to unfold. Sunrise over a fly-less tent came much too soon.
