Chilcotins.

"Landing on the blue hues of Lorna Lake was the beginning of an epic, three day journey through the Chilcotin Range"

Having been on my list for the past few summers, I jumped at the opportunity to join some friends with my partner on a bike trip in the Chilcotins.

Excitement built the entire way to Tyax Lodge and landing on the blue hues of Lorna Lake was the beginning of an epic, three day journey through the Chilcotin Range.

With over 100 km's to cover, the journey was trying at times but the incredible landscape made for a stunning backdrop as we ascended and descended changing valleys.

Rich reds and vibrant meadows of wildflowers passing through the sunlight as far as the eye could see. The Chilcotins have their own unique allure.

These mountains have made a lasting impression and I look forward to returning to explore more and capture their unique beauty.

The long descent home was a welcome end to the trip exploring new terrain in the vast Coast Mountains.
